Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing

Dubai Tourism is the principal authority for the planning, supervision, development and marketing of Dubai’s tourism sector. It markets and promotes the emirate’s commerce sector and is responsible for the licensing and classification of all tourism services, including hotels, tour operators and travel agents.

Our goal
All of our departments work in unison to achieve the goal of welcoming 23-25 million visitors by 2025.

Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment

Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) aims to position Dubai as an international events and entertainment hub. It works to increase competitiveness as a retail destination through year-round festivals, events and promotions.

Dubai College of Tourism

Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) runs the first of-its-kind multidisciplinary educational platform in the region.

The college provides foundation, certificate and diploma courses in tourism, hospitality, retail, events and culinary arts through the TVET accreditation framework. DCT aims to be recognised as the premier vocational institution in the region with its courses bridging the gap between short-term training and a full bachelor’s degree, ensuring a steady stream of highly-trained tourism professionals for the city.

The college is also responsible for delivering dedicated programs for those working within the tourism industry, such as ‘Dubai Way’ for tourist-facing staff in Dubai, and ‘Dubai Expert’ – an interactive online training tool for international travel agents.

The Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM) is responsible for the branding, promotion and marketing of the emirate of Dubai.

DCTCM is dedicated to working with private and public sector tourism and commerce partners to promote Dubai’s position as a leading business and leisure destination around the world. The department operates across a network of international offices to engage a wide range of audiences and showcase the city's diverse portfolio of tourism activities, events and entertainment while also promoting Dubai's role as a global business hub for business travellers and those establishing offices in the emirate.
